A Roosters Love Story

We have been in the restaurant industry for nearly two decades.  (Yikes!  We still think we are 25 and 27.)  During that time we have had the opportunity to be a part of and see many first dates, engagements, weddings and anniversaries.   Stuff like that matters to us and we appreciate that we have been part of some special moments.

Kym & PeteWe also have our own fun Roosters love story that not too many people know about. Many individuals in our fabulous crew have met at Roosters and formed lasting relationships, making our operations feel more like one big family. (Which, as you know, is 98% a blessing and 2% a challenge at times.)   It has been really fun to get to know these couples and see their romances unfold over the years. The Roosters’ love story begins with Pete and me. We met in college while working at a Salt Lake restaurant and decided to open our own, but it doesn’t stop there. The Roosters’ love flows. . . .

Steve & Julie

Our head brewmaster (Steve) and financial manager (Julie) met 13 years ago when Julie first started as a hostess at Roosters and are now married with two beautiful daughters.

Grace & Pablo

Our head chef of Union Grill (Grace) and kitchen manager of Roosters in Ogden (Pablo) are married and have worked for us for 16 years.

Jeff & Tavia

Our Catering Director (Tavia) and Layton Roosters manager (Jeff) met while working together at Roosters Layton and got married two years ago.

Steve & Cassie

Our assistant brewmaster (Steve) and one of our servers (Cassie) are engaged.

Beverlee & Mike

And a server (Beverlee) and past bartender (Mike) met at Roosters and just got married.

Each couple has their own unique story and are rockstars to me and Pete. As a gathering place for the community, we hope to see many more romances blossom. Keep those love connections coming and share your story with us!

My hubby and I are celebrating 25 years on Rooster’s Anniversary! I plan to end the day with hubby at your Ogden location – what could be better than love, good food, and music!

My husband and I had our first date at Roosters in 1999–sat at a little table just inside the door. We have been married for almost 8 years now, and if we are ever in the area again, we will be stopping by!
